 Dr.
Sarah Aston will sadly be leaving us on Friday 12th October 2007 and
moving to her new Practice in Nantwich. Dr. Aston has been with us for
three years and she sends her best wishes to all of her patients. The
Practice and patients will all miss her and we send her our best wishes
in her new Practice.
February 23rd 2007
emisaccess will
unavailable from 5pm on Friday 23rd February. This is due to essential
maintenance and upgrade of the surgery computer system over this weekend.
Normal service should be available from Sunday 25th Feb.

Upgrade to our Online Repeat Prescription ordering system
In order to improve our service to you our the Online Repeat Prescription ordering
system will be upgraded this winter. The existing online form is being removed
and replaced with the secure and reliable EMIS Access ordering system. From
December 2006 the facility will be available to EMIS Access users and as
of February 1st 2007 you will no longer be able to use the existing form. You
must be a registered EMIS Access user in order to use the new system. If
you are already an EMIS Access user for online appointment bookings you will
be able to order your repeats from the option provided from December. If
you are not already an EMIS Access user we urge you to join this FREE service
as soon as possible if you wish to continue ordering your prescriptions online
beyond February 1st 2007.
How? Please ask at reception for a registration form. You can then take these
details home with you and following the instructions provided sign up online
within minutes!
Why? The new system provides a secure service with guaranteed delivery (i.e.
emails do get 'lost'). A record of your orders (past & present) can be
viewed by you should there be a query.
The turnaround times are the same as usual (2 working days). You can also request
to have your script passed on to a pharmacy; the pharmacy will then collect
the script from us (after 2 working days). You will need to check with the
pharmacy as to when your medication will then be available.
Refurbishment
During the early part of 2007 the waiting room, corridors and consulting
rooms will be having the carperts replaced. We fully intend to keep disruption
to a minimum as all major work will be carried out over the weekends.
