What is emisaccess?

Internet Repeat Medication & Appointment Booking

emisaccess is a secure Internet system whereby patients can perform, on-line, certain tasks usually carried out over the telephone or in person.

We are initially offering the ability to book:

  • An appointment online at a time that suits you.

  • Your repeat medication

We hope emisaccess will benefit all of our patients, even those who do not use it, in some way:

  • Those who book/cancel on-line can do so ‘out of hours’
  • Those who book/cancel on-line can avoid busy telephone lines.
  • Those who need to telephone should find it easier to get through!

The system is run in conjunction with EMIS our clinical software supplier. All doctors are now available to book online, but nurses and other clinical staff are not yet available.

Is this a 24 hour service?

Almost. Due to nightly system maintenance the appointment system will be unavailable between approximately 11pm & 2am; so 21 hours a day, 7 Days a week, 365 days a year is probably a closer figure! Please note that during this period you will experience a logon failure (click for more info).

How do I use emisaccess?
